Highly Recommend!

These guys were great! They had a lengthy list of items to tackle in a short period of time and got it done just in time. They were amazing. You could tell they really cared about their work as well. Will definitely be calling them again.

Thank you!

everything i want in a professional!

I have a full time job and I manage five rentals on the side. The only way I can even entertain this responsibility is with the help of professionals like Rick and Nathan. They are talented, reliable, good communicators, and very fair with cost. I have asked them to do just about anything you might imagine when it comes to home repair. They do it all. I honestly can't say enough positive things about this duo. Thank you Rick and Nate!

Thank you Tiffany, we really enjoy helping you out with your projects.

Excellent Repair Team

Rick Golder and Nathan MacAlpine of Vsmart have been doing home repairs for me since the spring of 2017. I think this team is a real find. My house needed various kinds of work: indoor painting, ceiling repair, resurfacing a disintegrating shed wall, among others. My basement was full of tools and materials that needed to be disposed of. Rick and Nathan have done all this and more, even responding to an occasional off-hours emergency call. They have brought to the work a high level of expertise and care, as well as imagination, flexibility, and good humor. Since an old house like mine needs continual attention, I expect to continue to call on them in the future, and consider myself lucky that they are available. This team has my warmest recommendation.

The Best in the Business

Rick and Nathan began fixing and improving issues in our old house (where maintenance is exacerbated by the extreme climate), in 2017. The two compliment each other’s skill and demeanor. They discuss options with us, as the clients, and with each, other before diving-in.
Among the projects they have done well are interior painting, weather-stripping, locksmithing, installing shelving units and wall hooks, hanging cumbersome and heavy mirrors, planing old doors to make them swing freely, drywall replacement and more.
We like their business model—straightforward hourly billing, and appreciate their attention to detail. They leave our home clean and free of debris. Nate and Rick are trustworthy and a pleasure to have working in our home. They are clear about scheduling and arrive on time. We already have them scheduled to return in Spring for exterior work and some interior jobs.

VSMART Handyman services solves the frustration that sooner or later confronts every home owner—-where to find a competent, honest and reliable fix-it person for those small jobs that need to be done. The problem is common—not enough big ticket items to attract a building contractor but things that have to be fixed and are beyond the skills or ability of the home-owner to do: climbing to the roof to clear the drain, fixing the toilet flush mechanism, replacing the door knob, small patching and painting jobs, and large ones too, even replacing the fluorescent light in the kitchen and putting the tag on the dog’s collar when arthritic fingers are not up to squeezing the pliers! VSMART provides quick, honest, competent, and reliable service. Rick is creative about fixing things small and large. No job is too small. Large ones are done well and in a timely fashion. He is clear about what he can and can’t do. Fixes what needs to be fixed —no inflated work orders here—and strives to save you money. The rates are reasonable. And he even brings a biscuit for the dog. I highly recommend Rick Golder and his business partner, Nathan MacAlpine.
